Why the RIVER DISTRICT?
The River District has rapidly emerged as a dynamic, close-in neighborhood featuring panoramic views of the Nashville skyline and Cumberland River. Located only 4 miles by car from downtown Nashville, this area provides both a retreat from being in the middle of the bustling city and the convenience of being able to get there quickly. Exploding in popularity, the River District will soon be brimming with music, restaurants, offices and residences. Nashville’s first ever river taxis are also planned to take you to and from downtown on both sides of the Cumberland.
Water Taxi
Now available and so exciting! There is a new water Taxi to connect the North to Downtown! Jump on the pontoon to and from a Titan's game, a night on Broadway, or date night! Currently a single dock in North Nashville, several area River District builders are working to include a few more spots on the route!
Riverside Project
Across the river from downtown Nashville, the Riverside will bring five million square feet of places to live, work, play, dine, and enjoy the riverfront, woven together by three new public parks spanning more than 25 acres. Guided by an equitable and inclusive process that has engaged groups across the city, the master plan reflects the shared values, culture, history and spirit of the community.
